This project grew out of a long-standing passion for red Bordeaux and the culture surrounding great wine.

As Socrates famously said, “The only thing I know is that I know nothing.” Wine has a way of reinforcing that idea. The deeper you go, the more you realize how much nuance, history, and subjectivity the subject contains.

My perspective comes from direct experience: visiting wineries, owning a wine bar, organizing tastings, and spending time with winemakers, collectors, amateurs, and industry professionals on both sides of the Atlantic.

I organize private wine events, mostly centered around French wines, with a particular focus on Bordeaux. Some are casual, some more technical, often with guest contributors from the industry, but always designed around sharing knowledge, perspective, and good bottles.

We host wine classes and wine events in the Austin area. 

We have a formal 3-tier curriculum around red Bordeaux, scheduled about twice a year, where you have the opportunity to dive deep into the region, with first hand experience.

We host various wine events, private events, custom events at various locations. Please refer to our event calendar.

While we have strong ties with the industry, and to the contrary of some, we purchase the wine for the event,. Our selection is based on what we believe is best, and not on what a given distributor wants to move.

We are teaming up with a local retailer to get the wine to you before Christmas

The event starts at 6:30pm and ends at 8pm at 2579 Western Trails Blvd, Austin, TX 78745, 2nd floor (no elevator). In order for everyone to fully explore the nuances of the wine aromas, please refrain from wearing heavy perfume. Strictly limited to 24 participants per session.
